I am not in the classroom currently, however I did have a blog when I taught first grade. This is my first blog not connected to my classroom. I enjoyed having a blog and felt it was a great way to keep constant information flowing to the parents of my students. There was always somewhere to direct them if they were looking for information. The best part is that they could comment and ask me questions.
I wouldn't mind having a personal blog that I used to share about my family so that friends and family out of town could keep in touch with us. I also would like to use it as my own journal just to reflect upon things I am personally working on in my life.
I look forward to reflecting upon this class and how I am growing and learning from it!
It sounds like you have reflected upon blogging as a possible source to share with your family or to write a journal. Give it a try. You might like it better using a new way.
